For the month of October The Golden Pineapple hosts The Haunting® with Halloween themed drinks in appropriately spooky glassware/mugs, and fully spooky decor. During December they host Miracle® with over-the-top retro Christmas decorations, thematic cocktails in seasonal glassware, and a menu with more share plates appropriate for gatherings.
YES, The Golden Pineapple is staying open – their building is NOT scheduled to be demolished with the highway expansion. Yes, that construction is happening right across the street and will be for many, many years, sigh. We’re reiterating this as misinformation keeps resurfacing about what businesses are closing due to the construction.
The Golden Pineapple serves dinner, cocktails, beer, wine and has plenty of non-alcoholic options. Their menu is small, but oh, so tasty, and they have not-to-be-missed specials on the weekends. They are located in one of the oldest buildings in West Asheville. Standing vacant for several years, this historic building was once home to a recording studio, a pharmacy, and a deli.

As mentioned, The Golden Pineapple is the Asheville location for Miracle®, an annual Christmas-themed pop-up featured in select cocktail bars around the world. They’ll be serving holiday cocktails in custom glasses/mugs, in an over-the-top festive setting. Think kitschy holiday décor, professionally-developed cocktails and the nostalgic energy of the best office party you’ve ever been to. Even the grouchiest grinch will get the holiday spirit after hitting up The Golden Pineapple during this time. Note: This is super popular and at peak times there will likely be a wait to get in. Our recommendation is to go earlier in the evenings, Thursdays or Sundays.
