Character Study and Otterpine host a Reading Party on the Second & fourth Mondays each month.
This is a cozy, introvert-friendly evening of books, quiet reading, and good company. Think of it as a twice-monthly reading ritual: a reason to leave the house, set aside distractions, and spend an hour among neighbors who love books as much as you do. Come alone or with a friend. There’s no assigned reading, no homework, and no pressure to socialize.
Reading Party evenings are in hosted with Otterpine, an independent Asheville small press celebrating books and the communities that grow around them.
Registration is recommended. It helps Character Study plan, and they’ll send a reminder with anything special in store. It doesn’t reserve a seat; seating is first come, first served. Doors open at 5:30pm.
