SUMMARY:VERMONT AVE HALLOWEEN 2026
DESCRIPTION:VERMONT AVE HALLOWEEN 2026\nNeighbors for safe trick-or-trea
ting\n\nWith a long history of being "the street" to trick-or-treat for
families in West Asheville\, Vermont Avenue residents have organized to
close the street to vehicle traffic for Halloween evening\, making for a
safer and more enjoyable experience for all.\n\nThanks to all the commu
nity members that donated to their Go Fund Me\, not only will the street
be closed to cars\, the group was able to support residents with additi
onal candy to hand out. Trust us\, a LOT of candy gets handed out on Ver
mont Avenue on Halloween.\n\nWith the street closed it also becomes an i
mpromptu Halloween party and is a great place to wander through and admi
re costumes. No alcohol allowed. This is a street party designed to be a
safe space for children and families to trick-or-treat.\n\nParking:\nPl
ease utilize the paid lots along Haywood Road and marked free street spo
ts. West Asheville neighborhood streets are narrow and need space for em
ergency vehicles to pass through\, so please don't park in them. Pro tip
: the farther you walk in\, the easier it will be to leave and you can e
njoy seeing all the costumes of folks walking along Haywood Road. Some b
usinesses may also be handing out candy into the evening\, so bonus swee
ts for your little monsters along the walk.\n\nHours:\nThe official hour
s are 5:30-8:30\, however houses do as they see fit.\n\nRemember: Vermon
t Ave will be closed to traffic\, please keep vehicles away from Vermont
Ave and side streets. It will be a beautiful evening\, plan to walk in
 to the fun.
