New Belgium Brewing Oversized Deliveries

New Belgium Brewing is entering an exciting phase in their construction process which includes delivery of oversized brewing equipment. Most of these deliveries will route along Haywood Road from I-240, Exit 2 eastward to Craven Street and require no special considerations.

There are also a few deliveries that will require special routing and rolling road closures.

The lauter tun will be arriving Saturday, January 10, 2015, between 9:30-11 am.

The biggest delivery, the lauter tun, arrives January 10, 2015 and will travel I-40W to exit 47 to US 74W to exit 44 to US 19/Smokey Park Highway to US19 Bus/Haywood Road to 91 Craven Street (green arrows on map). NC DOT authorizes oversized load transport between sunrise and noon on Saturdays and Sundays in Buncombe County.

The whirlpool vessel will arrive here before noon on January 7, 2015 and will travel from I-40 to NC 191 to I-240 to Exit 2 to Hanover Street to Haywood Road to 91 Craven Street (red arrows on map). NC DOT restricts this load to daylight hours Monday through Friday.

The hot water tank arrives before noon on January 8, 2015 will travel I-40W to exit 47 to US 74W to exit 44 to US 19/Smokey Park Highway to US19 Bus/Haywood Road to 91 Craven Street (green arrows on map). NC DOT restricts this load to daylight hours Monday through Friday.

Check www.NewBelgium.com/AshevilleBrewery for update on Saturday, January 3, 2015 as to whether the lauter tun vessel will arrive Sunday, January 4 or Saturday, January 10 before noon.

The lauter tun will be arriving Saturday, January 10, 2015, around noon.

Vessels will be set into place throughout the month of January, not upon arrival. The site and area surrounding the site will be closed off to the public for safety reasons. Please take note of any police instructions and barricades throughout the transit process. We want this to be a safe process for all.
